This is The Best Low Calorie Frosting or Icing! It’s a perfect topping for your favorite cake, cupcakes, donuts, or bars! Heck, sometimes I even use this to add a little drizzle to my oats. It’s low in calories and super easy to make. What’s even better about this icing is that you can make it pretty much any flavor by just switching up the flavor of the pudding mix and/or liquid Stevia.
Let’s Talk Flavors!
The flavor combination on this icing is pretty much endless. You can use any flavor sugar free pudding mix and/or liquid Stevia and you’re good to go! I’ve made this vanilla, chocolate, butterscotch, cheesecake, and even peanut butter flavor. PB2 or any other powdered peanut butter works great when making this icing. You can also add a little peanut butter to give it even more pea-nutty flavor.
With all of the different flavors that Jell-O and Sweet Drops are making it makes it beyond simple to swap out flavors. I’m that person that has all those flavors on hand at all times because I love switching up the icing depending on what I’m eating.
Is It Safe To Eat Raw Egg Whites?
Yep! Liquid egg whites are pasteurized which makes them safe to eat. If you want to know a little more about the process and how it’s done, here’s a great article I found on Livestrong.com. The egg whites give me just enough liquid to play with and only adds 5 grams of protein which is perfect for my icing. I always have liquid egg whites on hand because I use them for a variety of things. Are they great for egg white omelettes? Yeah, of course! They’re also great for adding some protein to my oats, mug cakes and whole ton of other things! I typically buy the 6 pack of smaller containers at Costco. I like that they are smaller because sometimes I go through them very quickly and other times it will take me a while to get through a carton. I’d rather have to open a couple a week than have a larger carton go bad because I didn’t use it quickly.Print
