Crispy Cali’flour Foods Crust

I have been on the Cali’flour Foods bandwagon since the moment I tried the crust. My only problem was that no matter which way I followed the cooking instructions, I just couldn’t get the crust to come out crispy. Well, completely by accident (total kitchen fail) it happened. Hence, the Crispy Cali’flour Foods Crust was finally realized in my kitchen!

Long story short, I spilled egg whites all over my crust and not wanting to waste the crust I decided to throw it on the frying pan hoping to salvage something. They’re not cheap so I didn’t want to throw it out. Well, thank goodness I didn’t because the crust came out so perfect and crispy that I’ve been making it this way ever since. The Crispy Cali’flour Foods Crust is a great crust if you’re looking for a pizza night alternative.

Healthy Pizza Made Easy!

It’s so basic and simple and all you really need is a frying pan, a paper towel, and a tablespoon (approximately 15 grams) of egg whites. That’s it!

First you want to heat up your frying pan on medium heat. While this is heating up, take your crust out of the package and coat one side with half of the egg whites. Place the crust, egg white covered side down, on the skillet for about 7-8 minutes or until the bottom begins to crisp up. While the crust is cooking I like to blot the top with a paper towel to get rid of some of the oil. I do this mainly because it helps make the crust crispier. Once the bottom is crispy, coat the top of the crust with the rest of the egg whites and then flip. Let the other side crisp up and once you’re crust is ready you can either add the toppings to your pizza in the pan and cover or put it on a vented pizza pan and broil for 2 minutes in the oven. Target has a great vented pan at a more than reasonable price. Both ways seem to work well for me. And there you have it, the Crispy Cali’flour Foods Crust!

Top with your favorite cheeses, meats, and veggies and you’re all set for pizza night! I also love sprinkling some Kernel Season’s Popcorn Seasoning on top. With so many different flavor options, you’ll never get bored.

  • Anyone else love going to the #FitExpos? I know they are going to be super crowded, super crazy, and there’s going to be a lot of walking around and bumping into people. 🤪⠀

I love going each year and really look forward to it. I have a lot of fun but I know that has a lot to do with the people that I go with. This year was a ton of fun and I picked up some awesome items to try.⠀
I grabbed this #protieinbar at the @PrimalKitchenFoods booth and although I see the idea behind it, it really wasn’t my favorite. 😕 It was good but maybe just not what I like. Although they are #lowcarb and have a decent amount of protein, they are also pretty high in fat coming in a 15 grams per bar. I could definitely tell when I took it out of the wrapper because it was super greasy. Besides that the bar was extra chewy and although the flavor was OK, it just wasn’t for me. I normally stick to what I know and like but I wasn’t about to turn down a free bar! 🤷🏻‍♀️⠀

Honestly, foods shaped like donuts just automatically taste better to me! 😉⠀
Of course, nothing beats a regular donut but these do a pretty good job of keeping my sweet tooth under control. 😁 The only problem with these is that I usually make 5 or 6 at a time and I just want to eat them all in one sitting. 🤷🏻‍♀️ For that reason, I give them to everyone and anyone who will take one. Even though there is a lot of controversy over this day, I still find it's nice to show someone you love them. 🥰 And yes, I know that you should show someone that you love them daily, which I try to do as well, but a little extra never hurts! 🤗⠀

  • The @Grocery_Outlet near me has to be hands down one of my favorite grocery stores. I find the best stuff there! 🙌🏻⠀
This week they had @KNOWFoods pasta and I’ve been wanting to try some of their products so this was the perfect opportunity! 🍝 I grabbed a couple bags of the twists, which is the closest they had to #fusilli, my favorite type of pasta.😍⠀
The only ingredient listed is #chickpeaflour and they are pretty much #EVERYTHINGfree. 😉⠀
What do I mean by everything? Well, it’s #grainfree, #glutenfree, #wheatfree, #dairyfree, #soyfree, #yeastfree, #treenutfree, #preservativefree, etc...you get my point.👌🏻⠀
The #macros on these are pretty good too coming in at 2 F, 28 C, and 14 P. That’s pretty solid for me. I will definitely be buying some more because they were delicious. Another great thing is the cook time on these. It’s only 3-4 minutes which is about half to a third the time of regular pasta depending on which one you’re making. Right now, anything that saves me time is much needed.⠀
