Chirmol Guatemalan Salsa

Chirmol AKA Guatemalan Salsa is usually a bit on the sweeter side but can be made as spicy as you like it. This recipe is the basic, sweet version but add your favorite jalapeƱo, serrano or other pepper to spice it up.



1 can of Italian Style Stewed Tomatoes (this adds tons of flavor)

25 grams yellow onion

5 grams cilantro leaves

1 gram mint leaves

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon pepper

1 tablespoon lemon juice or to taste


  1. Pulse ingredients in blender until desired consistency.
  2. Serve and enjoy!


This salsa is typically on the sweeter side but can definitely be spiced up to your preference. Add whatever peppers you like best and pulse into the salsa.
