Are you looking for a way to spice up your breakfast?? Well, look no more! These Air Fryer French Toast call for minimal ingredients which you’ll probably have on hand. The best part is you can prep the rest of your breakfast while these are cooking in the air fryer. It’s one of those “set it and forget it” gadgets that makes cooking a breeze.
If you do not have an Air Fryer I definitely recommend investing one. They’re pretty inexpensive and totally worth the money. So, if you’re looking for your new kitchen addition, this is the one! I’ve made all sorts of things in it, it’s so easy to use, and clean up is a breeze as well. I cannot say enough great things about this appliance.
Easy 3 Ingredient Recipe
You probably have all three of these ingredients in your fridge and pantry right now! So, give breakfast a little facelift and make these delicious Air Fryer French Toast! What are the basics? Bread, Eggs, and your favorite cereal. I used Corn Flakes for this particular batch but you can use any cereal. Just make sure that you crush your cereal enough so that it sticks easily to the bread when you dredge the bread in them.
While these are “frying” I use this time to either cook up some eggs, cut up some fruit, or get the table ready. I already have my coffee brewing so this will all be ready to go ASAP! Like I mentioned, I used Corn Flakes, but feel free to use any cereal you like or have available. I’ve used Frosted Flakes, Fruity Pebbles, Choco Pebbles, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and a bunch more. They all work great and taste delicious. You just have to make sure you crush them enough so that it will stick well the the bread.
Dip, Dredge, and Air Fry. It’s really just that simple.Print
Air Fryer French Toast
These French Toast are crusted in Corn Flakes and air fried for a perfect outer crunch. Topped with fresh fruit and some pancake syrup for a delicious breakfast that will have you asking for seconds.
6 slices bread
1 cup Corn Flakes or cereal of choice
1/4th cup milk of choice
4 drops liquid stevia
dash of salt
- Crush corn flakes to a fine consistency
- Whisk eggs, milk, liquid sweetener and salt together
- Soak bread in egg batter and dredge in crushed cereal, repeat for the rest
- Spray air fryer basket with non stick spray and place cereal crusted bread in the air fryer
- Air fry the French Toast for 6 minutes, flipping halfway through
- Remove, add your favorite toppings, and enjoy!
If using thinner slice bread just lightly coat the slices with egg so that they do not become too soggy. I recommend using thicker sliced bread like Texas Toast or a Brioche style bread if available. Depending on what type of cereal you are using, a sweetener may not be needed. Since I used regular Corn Flakes for this recipe I added liquid Stevia. If I am using a more sugary type of cereal I omit the sweetener.
