I love pork chops, especially the thin cut boneless pork chops because they are so quick and easy to cook up. This week I had a craving for milanesa. Milanesa is a piece of thin sliced meat which is breaded and then pan fried. Beef milanesa was something my Mom used to make for us all the time when I was growing up. She’d normally make it with thin sliced beef or chicken and serve it with a side of mashed potatoes. For some reason pork was a rarity in our household. I’m not sure why because pork has such a great flavor to it. Anyway, I wanted to try my hand at a healthier, crunchier version of it. So what happened? Air Fried Corn Flakes Crusted Pork Chops is what happened!
I started by putting the Corn Flakes in a Ziploc bag and smashed them up until they were the consistency I wanted. You can grind them until they are the as small or large as you want.
Next I coated each side of the pork chops with maple syrup and dipped them in the ground up cereal. I sprinkled each side with my favorite BBQ seasoning for a little added flavor.
After they’re coated and seasoned well, put them in the air fryer for about 12 minutes at 400°. I’ll usually throw together a side while the air fryer is going. That’s the beauty of it, you set it and forget it.
Air Fried, Baked, or Fried?
These air fryer corn flake crusted pork chops were a cinch to put together, took almost no time in the air fryer, and were crispy and juicy. Buying an air fryer was definitely one of my best kitchen investments. It’s great for cooking meats, vegetables, fries, and so many other things. Lately I’ve been seeing so many creative things being made in it. I have yet to try “baking” something in it but I know it’s going to happen very soon. I really just have to find a good recipe that is kid approved so I don’t end up eating all the goodies alone. So far everything I have made in the air fryer has come out absolutely fantastic. Moist and tender air fried Corn Flake crusted pork chops

1.5 lbs center cut boneless pork chops, 3/4 inch thick, excess fat trimmed
2 cup Corn Flakes, crushed
1/4 cup Maple Grove sugar free pancake syrup
1 tsp McCormick Smokehouse Maple Seasoning
- Baste pork chops in Maple Grove sugar free pancake syrup
- Dredge pork chops crushed Corn Flakes
- Sprinkle BBQ seasoning on each side of pork chop
- Place pork chops in air fryer and set to 380° for 12 minutes
- Let sit for 5 minutes and enjoy!
